Our family is always on the move. Literally! Every two to three years we move to a new duty location and because of that we look for that one constant to help our boys with each transition. That one constant is AWANA.
Our two boys, ages 6 and 9, absolutely love AWANA. We have been in AWANA since our oldest was a Cubbie and now he has just completed Book 1 in Truth and Training. Our youngest has just completed Book 2 in Sparks. They love singing songs, playing fun games, memorizing verses, and making friends. As parents, we especially love them memorizing their verses because they truly are hiding God’s Word in their heart.
Before we moved from Oklahoma City, Oklahoma (USA) to North Bay, Ontario (Canada), we searched online for churches that offered AWANA. We found Bethel Gospel Chapel. At the first Sunday service we attended we knew we
found our new church home. Bethel has an amazing Awana program.
Our time in North Bay has come to an end. This summer we are moving to Europe. Online, we have found a church in the local community that offers AWANA and soon we will be joining our third AWANA program in a third country. AWANA is an amazing international ministry that keeps our kids in God’s Word and helps us find a church home everywhere we are posted.
AWANA is key to helping our boys through each transition by giving them a Biblically solid foundation, in addition to helping our whole family find a church home.
