Because discipleship is not just a program, it’s a journey.
What is the journey of discipleship?
The Journey of Discipleship is a video and interactive series designed to start conversations with parents, leaders, and pastors to understand the importance of discipling children and the vital role they play in shaping a child’s faith journey.
This series is about intentionally guiding children to know Jesus, grow in their relationship with Him, and live out their faith every day. Through practical teaching, meaningful conversations, and interactive moments, participants will discover how everyday relationships and consistent spiritual influence can leave a lasting impact on the next generation.
Whether you are a parent, ministry leader, volunteer, or mentor, The Journey of Discipleship will encourage and equip you to walk alongside children with purpose, confidence, and faithfulness.
Because discipleship is not just a program, it’s a journey.
Sessions
What does it really mean to disciple a child?
Our children are being shaped and formed every day by the people, experiences, and voices around them. So how can we intentionally help build a strong foundation of faith in Jesus?
In this first session of The Journey of Discipleship, we explore what discipleship means, why child discipleship matters, and how parents, churches, and caring adults can journey alongside children as they grow in faith.
You don’t have to be an expert. You just need to be willing to take the journey.
What if your home could be one of the most important places where your child’s faith is formed?
In Session 2 of The Journey of Discipleship, we explore how everyday family life can become an environment where children can see, hear, and experience the love of Jesus.
We’ll look at four key ways to build a culture of discipleship at home: Vision, Time & Space, Language, and Community.
You don’t need a perfect plan or all the right answers. It starts with the small, ordinary moments that happen every day.
What if church was more than a Sunday morning? What if it became a place where our children belong, grow, serve, and are formed in their faith?
In Session 3 of The Journey of Discipleship, we explore the vital role the church community plays in discipling children and in supporting parents along the way.
From community and meaningful relationships to mentorship, training, and serving together, the church is a gift that helps families journey in faith together.
Discipleship happens at home, but we were never meant to do it alone.
Kids have questions. Lots of questions. From “are we there yet?” and “How? Why?” to the biggest questions about God, faith, suffering, identity, and life.
What if those questions aren’t interruptions, but they’re opportunities for discipleship?
In Session 4 of The Journey of Discipleship, we explore how to create a culture of conversation in our homes: making space, listening well, using language our children understand, and being honest when we don’t have all the answers.
Because discipleship isn’t about having the perfect answer. It’s about journeying together.
Start small. Keep talking. You never know where the conversation might lead.
Who am I? It’s one of life’s biggest questions and one our children are asking as they grow.
In Session 5 of The Journey of Discipleship, we explore how we can help our children build their identity on something more secure than achievements, appearance, popularity, or what others say about them.
Our children can know that they are made for a purpose, known and loved by God, and secure in Christ.
In a world full of changing voices, what if we helped the next generation discover the unchanging truth of who they are in Jesus?
Their identity isn’t something they have to earn. It’s a gift to receive.
Our children are surrounded by stories that shape how they see themselves, the world, and what matters most. So, what story are we helping them build their lives around?
In Session 6 of The Journey of Discipleship, we explore the Gospel as the true story that gives us a framework for understanding life.
The Gospel tells the story of how God created us with purpose, how sin brought brokenness into the world, how Jesus came to rescue and restore us, and how God is ultimately making all things new.
This is more than a story we tell our children, it’s the story we are invited to live in.
Start the Journey. Shape a Faith That Lasts.
Don’t just hope the next generation follows Jesus. Help them discover the way.
