Philippines (2023-24) - Awana Canada

The Awana ministry in the Philippines needs our help!

This year our focus is on the Philippines. The Philippines is a country with a population of 109 million, with children under 15
representing 29.1% of that number. In the Philippines, many children, some as young as 5,
have to work to help support their families. The Philippines, located in the Pacific Ocean near
the equator, consists of around 7,640 islands – of which about 2,000 are inhabited.

Our goal is $40,000. So far we've raised $13,975.

WHY PHILIPPINES? God has orchestrated an opportunity for Awana to equip thousands of community centers across the Philippines to reach and disciple kids, including 250,000 children who are homeless. This unique partnership, in conjunction with the Center for Community Transformation (CCT) will ensure high-capacity leaders in thousands of community transformation centers are trained to bring Awana programming to children, specifically to kids living in poor urban areas and on the streets.
