Thank you for your faithful partnership and support for the ministry of Awana in Canada and His work around the world. This is an exciting time for the international ministry of Awana with over 7,000 clubs, reaching over 400,000 children outside the USA.

By this letter, I want to inform you of transition happening in our ministry. We have formed a new organization called Awana International Canada (AIC) which is the new name for the Awana ministry in Canada.

As the chairman of the board, I wanted to communicate our desire to serve your ministry needs as we pray together that all children and youth throughout the world would come to know, love and serve Jesus Christ.

AIC is a Canadian ministry. Our headquarters is located in British Columbia. Our board is comprised of several Canadian ministry professionals, including Bob Dobson, Paul Weme, Ted Hilton and Roy Turkington. Our missionaries are Canadian and have served your Awana ministry for years. Let me share our vision, mission and values:

To be a strategic partner with churches and ministries in a global effort to ensure the opportunity or all children and youth to be evangelized and discipled in Christ.

Our Mission

To work with our ministry partners in creating and disseminating integrated programs, tools, and training that equip leaders to evangelize and disciple children and youth for Christ.

We will glorify God and serve the body of Christ by committing ourselves to these values.

You may have received a letter from our former partner, Awana Clubs Canada, and Phil Whitehead. We understand that you may have questions or concerns which can be directly addressed with your local missionary – who will be calling you in the next week.

Our goal is to make this a seamless transition and we are expectant of God’s continued blessing on the ministry. Matthew 19:14 reminds us of the heart of Christ when he said, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.”
